ISPT maintains top global rankings for ESG performance

Leading fund manager ISPT has continued its strong environmental performance with three of its funds securing the top global quintile again in this year’s GRESB assessment, which independently examines ESG performance, benchmarks and impact.

The ratings examine ESG credentials across three components: management, performance – which includes energy, emissions, water and waste – and development.

Three ISPT funds received a GRESB 5 Star Rating, which means they are in the top quintile relative to all other participants globally. The 50 Lonsdale Street Property Trust (top 3.2 percent) and Core Fund (top 8.5 percent) landed inside the top 10 percent of global rankings, and IRAPT wasn’t far behind in the top 10.7 percent.

The full list of results is as follows:

  • ISPT’s Core Fund is split between two benchmarks – its standing investments benchmark, and its development benchmark:
    • Core Fund scored 90 out of 100, above its peers (ranked 86 on average) and the GRESB average of 76. It is ranked second out of nine peers. The fund scored a GRESB 5 Star rating
    • Core Fund (Development Benchmark) scored a perfect 100, above the average of 86 from its peers and the GRESB average of 94. The fund scored a GRESB 5 Star rating and is ranked a Global Sector Leader
  • IRAPT scored 90 out of 100, above its peers (ranked 89 on average) and GRESB average of 76. It is ranked ninth of its 14 peers. The fund scored a GRESB 5 Star rating
  • 50 Lonsdale Street Property Trust scored 92 out of 100, above its peers (ranked 90 on average) and the GRESB average of 76. It is ranked fifth out of 21 peers. The fund scored a GRESB 5 Star rating

ISPT’s ESG initiatives include its Flag on the Hill targets which consists of being 100 percent powered by renewables, generating more carbon offsets than it uses and achieving a 30 percent reduction in water usage by the end of FY25, and the fact that all of ISPT’s owned and operated properties and corporate offices have been 100 percent Carbon Neutral since 2020.
