Aldi to open at Arana Hills Plaza
ISPT, one of Australia’s largest unlisted property fund managers, is pleased to announce an exciting new retailer for Arana Hills Plaza. In April 2013 work will commence on a 1,528m2 ALDI supermarket, with works scheduled to conclude in early 2014.
Arana Hills Plaza is home to the only Kmart in The Hills area, Coles and 23 specialty stores. To further compliment the centre’s recent refurbishment works, the centre will welcome ALDI, with the store to be constructed in the car park next to Coles throughout 2013. ALDI will complement the existing retail mix with their brand philosophy of providing everyday groceries of the highest quality at the lowest possible price.
As well as this addition to the retail mix, there will also be changes made to the car park, including the addition of more shaded parking for customers.
“In 2011 and 2012 both Arana Hills Plaza and the Coles Supermarket were revitalised through refurbishment; the end result is a modern community hub for families to shop. The addition of ALDI will continue our vision for the centre, by providing value and choice for the community,” says Cameron Gregson, Retail Fund Manager, ISPT. “The development and addition of ALDI at Arana Hills Plaza will ensure that the centre provides families in The Hills area a one-stop shopping centre for their everyday needs now and into the future.”
Construction will commence onsite at Arana Hills Plaza in coming days, with the opening of ALDI scheduled in early 2014. During this time Arana Hills Plaza will continue to trade as normal.
Cameron Gregson affirms ISPT’s commitment to the area, stating “ISPT are committed to The Hills and recognise that Arana Hills Plaza is a community meeting place in the area. To cater to the changing needs of the community we have in recent times, refurbished the centre, purchased the neighbouring Shell Service Station and will commence construction of an ALDI in the coming days.”
A community noticeboard will be installed in the centre’s rear corridor to communicate additional development details and updates throughout the program to the community.
