ISPT Celebrates ESG Award Win at the Property Council of Australia’s People in Property Awards
ISPT is proud to announce that Chief Sustainability Officer, Steven Peters, has taken home the newly introduced ESG Award at this year’s Property Council of Australia’s People in Property Awards.
Driving continued ESG excellence in the property and funds management sectors, responsible for the development and delivery of ISPT’s ESG strategy, including ambitious targets to drive positive change, the judges recognised Steven’s unwavering dedication to achieving a sustainable future.
The new award follows Steven being recently named a Green Star Champion by the Green Building Council of Australia, as ISPT achieves its FY22 Carbon Neutral Certification via Climate Active, which includes a massive 58% reduction in the emissions footprint in FY22 compared to its FY19 baseline.
Steven says, “We have an impressive track record of delivering on ESG outcomes, so I’m proud to be recognised within such a prestigious category. A big thank you to the ISPT team for continuing their commitment to delivering triple bottom line impact and stand-out results for our investors, clients and the community.”
Celebrating the win, CEO Chris Chapple says, “ESG is at the core of the ISPT business, and with Steven at the helm, we continue to go from strength to strength. Our ambition at ISPT is to become a globally recognised leader in funds management, ESG and DE&I, so I’m thrilled to see the hard work that Steven and the team are doing in the ESG space is being recognised.”
Steven says that his next priority is to evolve ISPT’s ESG strategy beyond 2025.
“From moving beyond net zero to absolute zero outcomes, without the need for offsets, and pioneering transparency in ESG reporting and impact assessment, there is still a world of opportunity to lead from the front and create long term, sustainable value for all.”
