ISPT Named Australia’s Best Place to Work in Property, Construction & Transport

Global Head of Real Estate Chris Chapple accepts the Australian Financial Review's BOSS Best Places to Work award in the Property, Construction and Transport category.

ISPT's ESG initiatives such as the Sustainable Furniture Scheme which diverted 12,000 furniture items and 42,000 ceiling tiles to support The Property Industry Foundation's Haven House project in Shepparton, was recognised for building purpose into its culture.
ISPT has been officially awarded as one of the Australian Financial Review BOSS Best Places to Work, ranking first in the Property, Construction and Transport category among the top 10 workplaces within this sector.
This award win signals ISPT’s first-ever nomination in this series, recognising ISPT as a leading workplace in its sector and acknowledging the team’s hard work to cultivate the people-first environment that ISPT prides itself on.
Recently, ISPT refreshed its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy in attempts to continually champion its values of empowering staff to be bold and brave, play to win, and love what they do, says Acting Chief Human Resources Officer Katie Jerome:
“One example we’re particularly proud of at ISPT is our approach to flexibility and caring responsibilities. We’ve removed terms such as primary and secondary carer to empower all types of families, support working parents by providing 20 weeks of paid leave, and provide leave for medical appointments, adoption or surrogacy.
“We also offer returning parents the opportunity to gradually phase back into work, providing 75 per cent of their contracted hours at 100 per cent of their usual pay for four consecutive weeks. This resulted in more males taking parental leave than females in FY24 – demonstrating our DEI strategy in action.
“We also acknowledge that work is just one part of people’s lives, which is why we continue to offer our team one additional paid lifestyle and wellbeing day per month, giving everyone 12 additional leave days to rest and recharge throughout the year,” she said.
Recognising the people and teams who contribute to making ISPT a place people want to work, Global Head of Real Estate Chris Chapple shared:
“This recognition could not be possible without our entire team bringing our ISPT DNA to life to enable the collaborative culture we have today. I am enormously proud that our team has received this recognition after a period of significant change and transformation,” he said.
ISPT’s people-first approach is underpinned by an unwavering commitment to ESG excellence, which continues to resonate with ISPT’s people and align with their personal values, ultimately supporting ISPT’s purpose to create better futures for investors, people and partners.
