ISPT named GRESB Global Sector Leader
A strong commitment to deeply embed environmental, social and governance (ESG) excellence into every function of ISPT’s business has been recognised at the highest level of the global real estate industry. For the first time, we have been named as a Global Sector Leader in a total of three categories of the Real Estate Assessment by the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB).
Our flagship ISPT Core Fund has been recognised as a Global Sector Leader in both the Standing Investments Benchmark (Diversified – Office/Retail) and Development Benchmark(Diversified).
Our ISPT 50 Lonsdale Street Property Trust was also awarded with Global Sector Leader status in the Standing Investments Benchmark (Office).
ISPT’s Acting General Manager ESG, Steven Peters, said: “We are really proud to be recognised by GRESB as a Global Sector Leader, reflecting a collective effort from across ISPT, and our business partners. It demonstrates our commitment to ESG excellence and has been part of a longer-term strategy over a number of years to lift our performance.
There is still opportunity for improvement, and we’re excited to continue that momentum as we work towards our Flag on the Hill targets in 2025.”

Our recent Annual General Meeting showed how ESG values are woven through ISPT’s business units and functions.
Steven said: “ESG was fundamentally embedded into every commentary, not as its own platform, or a box to be ticked. That’s a clear demonstration of our success.
ISPT’s 2020-2025 ESG Strategy and Framework aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. From this we have chosen 10 priority goals in which we plan to make a genuine and considerable impact.
Some milestones achieved in FY2022 as part of ISPT’s five year ESG strategy include:
- A Sustainable Furniture Scheme to reduce landfill waste
- The Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan to listen to, learn from and work with and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Completion of Stage 3 of our national solar photovoltaic project
