Reducing the impacts of climate change is a long term priority for ISPT and our Investors. We actively manage our carbon emissions, future-proof our buildings and reduce our environmental impacts to help fulfil our responsibility to future generations. We have now achieved 100% carbon neutral certification through Australian Carbon Credit Offset Units, which is testament to 15 years of hard work, dedication and perseverance by our team and Board.


ISPT is the first Australian property investor to attain Climate Active certification and achieve carbon neutrality across the base building operations of our owned and operated properties and our corporate offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

We own some of the healthiest and most energy efficient buildings in Australia. Over the last 10 years, we’ve saved over $27M in utility costs and, since 2014, have reduced carbon emissions on ISPT owned and operated buildings by 42%.

We are simultaneously transitioning our portfolio to clean, cost-effective, low-carbon energy through both on and off-site renewables.
In stages 1 and 2 of our 4-stage National Solar PV project we’ve installed 100,000 sqm of solar panels across 22 of our properties, and when complete, the project will be the largest coverage across a single portfolio by a fund manager in Australia.

Since July 2020, all electricity procured for our Victorian portfolio has been carbon neutral through our participation in the Melbourne Renewable Energy Project (MREP2). Facilitated by the City of Melbourne, the project uses collective purchasing power to support renewable energy.
