271 Spring Street awarded 6 Star As-Built Green Star

Our 16-storey boutique office at 271 Spring Street, Melbourne, has been awarded the As-Built 6 Star Green Star certification by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA). Designed to meet 5 star certification, and now delivered as a 6 star through:

• A 63.64kW rooftop solar PV panel installation, saving 46 metric tonnes of CO2 per annum
• A 28% reduction in water consumption and a 44% reduction in energy consumption compared to minimum requirements
• Diversion of more than 90% of construction and demolition waste from landfill

Australian Unity pre-leased the tower and worked with ISPT and our builder Probuild to achieve a fully integrated fitout. This meant efficiency in delivery through joint procurement and being able to avoid unnecessary construction waste.
