Karingal Hub stage 1 launched

ISPT has unveiled the first stage of it’s $160 million revitalisation of Karingal Hub. Based in Frankston, the new food precinct has been curated in the style of a lively market and will feature more than 28 fresh food and speciality retailers, including a 750 sqm MarketPlace Fresh grocer. Newly designed Woolworths, Coles and Aldi supermarkets will also underpin the speciality food stores.

ISPT General Manager, Retail Services, Sam Curry, said, “The first stage of the Karingal Hub redevelopment provides the community a complete and convenient fresh food destination”.

“It offers not just vibrant new facilities and a sustainable design, but also unmatched convenience with the introduction of three leading supermarkets, fresh produce, a variety of seafood, cafes, services and specialty stores – all in one place, with ample free under cover and open air parking.”

In addition to the new food offerings, the redevelopment has been designed to achieve a 4-Star Green Star Rating and has a 1.3 megawatts solar PV installation, new touchless amenities and a leading recycling and waste program. State-of-the-art natural ventilation will help to reduce energy costs and emissions.

Stages two and three of the redevelopment will be unveiled later this year and will include new fashion and entertainment precincts.
